ABOUT THE COTTAGE

Situated within the five glorious acres of Hartvale Gardens in the picturesque Hartley Valley, this luxurious holiday cottage features an open floorplan, soaring ceilings and lots of natural light. The clever use of natural elements such as wood, stone and cottage gardens combine with dramatic views to make this a unique getaway with all the comforts of home.

It was bliss just sitting, tea in hand, gazing out the magnificent picture windows at the spectacular view and gardens. For us who were craving much needed time together away from the stresses of our lives, it was the perfect getaway.

Your own private cottage and gardens situated approximately 100m from the main house.

Sink into the sumptuous king-size bed

This luxurious bed, fitted with plush bedding and set against an oversized set of rustic barn doors, guarantees you the most peaceful night's sleep. Drift of to the sound of the crackling fire until you wake up to stunning morning views.

Note: bed may be separated slightly to accommodate friends who want to share the cottage.

Giant picture window and fireplace

Relax by the fire with your favourite beverage and a good book, or just soak up the glorious views from the massive picture window.

Choose your favourite comfy couch

There are so many places for you to settle in with a good book or take advantage of the smart TV and free WiFi. Our furnishings have been cleverly designed to maximise your pleasure, with options for everyone. If lighting a fire is not your thing, there's reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans. The choice is yours!

Our full-featured kitchen includes coffee pod machine, microwave, stove/oven, kettle, toaster and dishwasher.

Spacious bathroom with old-school charm

The ultimate in relaxation - a warm soaker bath, scented magnesium crystals, a good book and a glass of red. There is also a large walk-in shower and plenty of light through the gorgeous old style wrap-around windows.

Colonial veranda

Sit back and relax on the front veranda while taking in the stunning views of the Mount York escarpment. Or enjoy a cuppa while watching the ducks frolick in the dam.

Cook a BBQ feast as you soak up the afternoon sun on a second, private garden veranda with more valley views.

Spectacular outside spaces

Have a picnic in the shade of the large oak tree by the dam.
